President’s Note: October’s meeting began with some special guests. Renee Wyatt (owner and Map Ad sponsor from the Aloha Camp Store) updated the club on a upcoming Easter Seals Snowmobile ride for women. The ride will be held in Grayling on the 1st weekend in February.
Also, Tina and Bob Lechanski – members of the National Ski Patrol and CPR instructors, trained several club members in the lifesaving Community CPR technique.

Map Ads: Inland Lakes Snowmobile Club has picked up all of the sales for this year’s map ads including those for Cheboygan. Our club stepped up and took on the extra sales effort in order to insure the success of this year’s map. Thanks to all of you for all your hard work!! Gale Konkel and Gina Palmer have received most all of the money for this year’s snowmobile trail map and will be heading to the printer later this month to review the changes with Mitchell Graphics. If you have any additional map ad money please get it to Gale or Gina ASAP so we can include those sponsors in this year’s map
Membership Dues: Most all of the 2016/2017 membership dues have been paid, if you haven’t already done so, please be sure to pay Pat Deitering at our next meeting.
Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are still needed to chair the Spring Banquet. We also need volunteers for the Nominating Committee and a coordinator for the Wednesday Rides. If you would like to volunteer for any of these activities, please call President Tom.
Trail Brushing: Art Pillen – our head brush-wacker, lead a gang of woodsmen on Saturday October 15 to clear low hanging brush off our trails. Thanks to – Greg Ellis, Jim Carver, Mike Martlock, Brian Callaghan, Bill Praither, Leo Chenevere, and Rod Arvin for helping make our trails the best in the State!
Salvation Army: Randy Lee is heading up a group of bell ringers on Thursday December 1. Please contact Randy for more information and thanks for helping out with this important fundraiser.
Christmas Party: Our club’s Christmas Party this year is being hosted by Pat Deitering, Pat Callaghan and Linda Pillen. The party will again be held at the Bayview Inn on Thursday December 15th, so mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information.
UP Snowmobile Trip: Gale and I will be hosting a snowmobile trip to the Keweenaw & Porcupine Mountains on January 23-27. If you are interested in going, please let Gale or myself know.
Next Meeting: MONDAY November 14th at 7:00 at the I.R. Sportsmen’s Club. Coffee/cookies people for the meeting are: G. Konkel, L. Pillen, and P. Smith.
Reminder - cookie people are responsible for set-up (making coffee) and clean-up (cleaning and up putting club supplies in the store room).
