November 2107 Newsletter
President’s Note: I am sorry to report that 2 members of our snowmobile club family passed away this past month – current member Bill Yingling and former member Jim Raush. Both will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families.
For Sale: Used snowmobiles, trailers, equipment, accessories, etc. If you have something for sale let me know and I will add it to the newsletter.
New Members: five new members joined the club this month – Darry Engel, Tom & Jeanne Schmidt and Dan & Karen Plasencia. Welcome aboard! (That brings the number of new members this year to 13 – fantastic!!)
Game Night/Pizza Party: Game night was held on January 5th at the Indian River Sportsmen’s Club. It was another great evening – a big thanks to Callaghan’s for hosting the party and coordinating the dinner and games.
Snowmobile Trips: (If you would like to plan a trip, please let Sue Kowzan know so she can coordinate the trips in order to help avoid overlapping events)
UP Trip Cancelled – unfortunately due to the winter melt down, the UP trip was cancelled. When the weather improves we will try to pull together another trip – stay tuned!
Bob Ulrich is coordinating the Weekly Day Trips – check the website for more information.
Photo Op: The Resorter will be at the “New Indian River Trailhead” (behind the Chamber office in town) on Monday January 30 at 1:00pm to take some photos of our snowmobile club. This will be great opportunity to promote our club. We would like as many people to attend as possible – come by car or snowmobile. Hope to see you all there!
Spring Welcome Back Dinner – mark your calendars, the dinner will be held at the Thirsty Sturgeon on Wednesday May 10 – more info to follow.
