SNOWMOBILE CLUB ENJOYING AN ACTIVE WINTER as submitted to the Resorter
Members of the Inland Lake Snowmobile Club gathered for a photo at the new Indian River trailhead in Downtown Indian River earlier this week. Members are anxiously waiting for new snow so that they may continue with their weekly rides in the area where they support local businesses and restaurants. The club also provides support to the Indian River and Cheboygan Grooming clubs who have been doing a fantastic job in maintaining local trails making them the best in Northern Michigan. In addition to their financial support to the groomers, club volunteers also help clear brush from the snowmobile trails in the fall, particpate in the Adopt a Highway program, raise money for the Salvation Army as well as the Wertz Warriors and support several other charities.
The club meets on the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. (September through February) at the Indian River Sportsment's Club. New members are always welcome and it is open to non-snowmobilers as well. For more information come to a meeting or check us out on our website at Inlandlakessnow.org.
